consistency not her strong point

Via Unity posting at Liberal Conspiracy, I notice that Nadine Dorries - campaigning vigorously for 20 weeks because of all of that compelling research which says 20 is juuuuust right - has also signed up to support an amendment for 16 weeks.

Perhaps someone would like to ask her which bit of her own argument for 20 weeks which was so unconvincing.

All of it.

She doesn't care about the foetus, the mother, the doctor, or anyone else involved. She wants control through pushing a mad agenda. This is simply a useful Righteous Indignation issue with which to mobilise voters. Lies are her main stock in trade in this issue, because the issue isn't important to her. The publicity and her own advancement are what matters to her.

She makes no case for restricting abortion. She makes a very good case for backdating it.
