So - the news.
I have a new job. A new wonderful, terrifying job which I've been pursuing for many years, and which is going to take up most , if not all, of my time and energy. I'm moving house to take it, and leaving Edinburgh where I've lived for ten years to take up residence in a part of the UK where I don't know a single, solitary person - because it's an opportunity I can't pass.
Consequently, I'm putting this blog on hiatus, possibly permanently. It feels like a strange time to stop writing, just as liberal bloggerdom start to develop some very interesting ideas about how it might work together and affect genuine political change. Ironically, it was the timing of the interview for the new job that prevented me from attending the recent London event on that very subject.
However, if I'm going to make this move work (and also not get fired rather rapidly) I need to acquire some focus in my public, professional life. As such, you may see someone who sounds quite a lot like me appearing somewhere else online in the next year, but with a real name and face.
I have a few last entries that I may feel the urge to edit and post, but this is most likely the last post until I find my feet (barring incidental rage-induced late-night lapses). Thanks to everyone who read and commented over the last three and a bit years: catch you later?
