iain dale dictionary corner

Iain "moral compass" Dale on the subject of Michal Kaminski:

The fact that the left continues this campaign of traducement says far more about their own moral compass than it does about Kaminski.

Definition:
traducement (transitive verb)
to traduce: to cause humiliation or disgrace to by making malicious and false statements
I'm still not quite clear about... oh, hang on:
Contemporary usage:

When Iain Dale traduced Tom Watson in the pages of the Daily Mail, the newspaper was forced to pay substantial damages.

(Pssst. For signs of the shakiness of Dale's high-horsed claim of lefty-leftist traducement start with the comments on his post, and then try Denis MacShane in The Guardian.)
